Payment & Refund Policy

This Payment & Refund Policy sets out the terms governing payments, fees, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds for services provided by International Press & Media Organization (IPMO), a non-profit organization operating under the laws of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

By making any payment or purchase through https://ipmo.nl (the “Website”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

IPMO accepts payments through secure third-party payment providers.
Available payment methods may include, but are not limited to:

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Online payment gateways
  • Other payment methods as displayed during checkout

IPMO does not store or process sensitive payment information directly.

2.1. All prices are displayed in Euros (€) unless stated otherwise.
2.2. Membership fees, event fees, and service charges are clearly stated on the Website at the time of purchase.
2.3. IPMO reserves the right to modify prices at any time. Any price changes will not affect already paid subscriptions or purchases.

3. Membership Subscriptions

3.1. Memberships may be offered on a monthly or annual subscription basis.
3.2. Subscription fees are charged in advance for the selected billing period.
3.3. Membership access and benefits become active only after successful payment and, where applicable, administrative approval.

4. Automatic Renewals

4.1. Where automatic renewal is enabled, subscriptions will renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled in advance.
4.2. Members are responsible for managing their subscription settings via their account dashboard.
4.3. IPMO is not liable for charges incurred due to failure to cancel before the renewal date.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, consumers residing in the European Union may have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction.

However, this right may not apply where:

  • The service has already been fully or partially provided
  • Digital content has been accessed or delivered
  • Membership benefits or restricted content have been activated

By completing a purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of services and acknowledge that you may lose your right of withdrawal where legally applicable.

6. Refund Policy

6.1. Unless otherwise required by mandatory Dutch or EU law, all payments are non-refundable.
6.2. No refunds are issued for:

  • Partially used subscription periods
  • Membership cancellations after activation
  • Failure to use services or benefits

6.3. Refunds may be considered only in exceptional cases at IPMO’s sole discretion or where required by law.

7.2. IPMO reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events. In such cases, participants may be offered:

  • A refund
  • A credit
  • Access to an alternative event

8. Failed or Disputed Payments

8.1. If a payment fails or is reversed, IPMO reserves the right to suspend access to services or memberships.
8.2. Any chargebacks or payment disputes may result in immediate suspension pending investigation.

9. Taxes and VAT

Where applicable:

  • VAT (BTW) is applied in accordance with Dutch tax regulations
  • Non-profit status does not automatically exempt transactions from VAT

Invoices will reflect applicable taxes where required by law.

10. Fraud Prevention

IPMO reserves the right to:

  • Verify payment details
  • Suspend or cancel transactions suspected of fraud
  • Report fraudulent activity to relevant authorities

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Dutch law, IPMO shall not be liable for:

  • Financial losses arising from payment processing issues
  • Delays caused by third-party payment providers
  • Subscription renewals not cancelled in time

This does not affect statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.

IPMO reserves the right to update this Payment & Refund Policy at any time.
Any changes will be published on the Website and become effective immediately upon publication.
