Dr. Zuheir Al-Abad, President of the Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate, welcomed Mr. Khaled Bekdash, President of the International Organization for Journalism and Media in the Netherlands.

Both parties signed a professional agreement under which the Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate will represent the International Organization for Journalism and Media in the Netherlands within the State of Kuwait. The agreement aims to enhance and develop communication between journalists in Kuwait and the rest of the world, as well as promote cultural exchange between Kuwait and European Union countries.

Regarding the agreement, Mr. Bekdash, President of the Organization in the Netherlands, stated:

“This agreement marks the first step in strengthening communication ties with fellow journalists in Kuwait. Additionally, the International Organization for Journalism and Media in the Netherlands is committed to organizing specialized training courses in various fields of journalism and media for all Kuwaiti journalists.”

Bekdash further added that the agreement is based on media support and cooperation at both the local and international levels, contributing to the advancement of media practices in accordance with internationally recognized professional standards.

For his part, Dr. Zuheir Al-Abad, President of the Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate, stated:

“Through this agreement, we seek to enhance press and media freedom in Kuwait, implement training and development programs for journalists and media professionals, and secure the most significant academic scholarships in the sciences and arts of communication and media within professional education.”
